“Twenty-five” is a visual representation of Berlin the German capital, the pictures were made during the days before the 25th anniversary of the fall of the wall.
That event has a value both real and symbolic, that unquestionably place it among the major events of the twentieth century, some historians recognise in the 9th November 1989 the very end of the 20th Century.
In my body of work, I have focused on spaces and places, I wanted to document the mechanisms of transformation that have occurred over the city during and after the many years of separation between the eastern part and the western part. The path to German reunification starts also from symbols of rebirth and amongst them I wanted to portray the city itself, with its architectures that looks at the future.
